What Is Light of Day?

Light of Day Inc is a not-for-profit group formed by investors in Australian unlisted property funds. The organisation is open to all of the more than 240,000 investors in this $60 billion industry, a large proportion of whom are retirees or investing to fund retirement.

The objectives of Light of Day Inc are;

1. To provide a forum for discussion of issues affecting the members, as investors in the Unlisted Property Sector;

2. To provide a vehicle for members to build their knowledge of current issues facing investors in the Unlisted Property sector;

3. To enhance the practices of lenders to pooled investment entities in the unlisted property sector; and

4. To provide a platform for action to protect and promote the interests of the members as investors in the Unlisted Property sector.

The Light of Day Inc aims to shed light on the banking practices that are currently converting superannuation savings into bank profits. The Light of Day Inc supports responsible banking practices which take a through-the-cycle view of commercial property and do not needlessly destroy the superannuation savings of Australian investors.

Light of Day Inc's spokesperson is Owen Lennie, a consultant and company director with many years experience in the commercial property sector.
